A catch-all e-mailbox is one that gathers all the emails sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an outdated address or has made a spelling error. The negative aspect of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited email messages, but this issue can be solved using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also crucial to know that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound messages to a third-party email address.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a few functions, but it is surprisingly simple to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only one single mouse click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you will simply have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the concrete address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires one more mouse click on the exact same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all option can be activated effortlessly if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you have created using the domains hosted in the account will be shown in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will find a small symbol handily located directly next to each one of them. With just a mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already enabled and there isn't active email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on an email address and enable this feature using the context menu that will surface. In case any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
